Abstract

The present technical study indicates the strategies used to make the ERP Community of Practice a knowledge management initiative capable of generating value for the people and for the ten organizations involved in the ERP Tool Implementation Project. These strategies aim to minimize risks associated with the implementation of initiatives of this type. Low and / or inadequate performance of the community leader, difficulty in preparing the community of practice ´s agenda, low participation of members, among others. Solutions adopted in the structuring and management of this community were found during the study: team designation of leaders; elaboration of the agenda associated with the pedagogical, technical and managerial aspects of the mission of the ERP implementation project. It was concluded that the community of practice consists of a valuable organizational learning initiative capable of supporting the achievement of strategic objectives.
