Abstract

Digital Transformation takes over all activities of human life, especially now, accelerated by the Health Crisis caused by the COVID-19 Pandemic. Obviously, the educational process is not out of this, and it should be the first to promote changes and implement projects in this direction, especially in higher education. In fact, there are several initiatives taking place at several universities around the world. This article intends to present a brief study of the profile of leaders in public institutions in Brazil in this new context that the digital transformation is bringing to different sectors of human activity and, particularly, to Education. The objective was to identify the characteristics, motivations and dynamics of the performance of the leader and the followers, considering normative and cultural aspects of this context that the leadership will have to face.
