Abstract

The media are increasingly integrated into people's daily lives, the concern with accessibility and the presentation of educational visual artifacts achieved by people with disabilities has been increasingly recurrent. The paper makes an integrative review of the topic, with 17 works being evaluated. The key question is "what are the types of representation of visual artifacts used in educational environments?" and aims to map the types of artifacts used, describing their usability and what are the necessary guidelines for these pieces to return to the public in educational environments. As a result, the artifacts identified in the articles were categorized into seven types (moving images, static images, mass media with audiodescription, texts, chat systems, assistive technologies, tactile / visual artifacts), in addition to relating their use to seven sets of guidelines for building return artifacts.
