Abstract

Tacit knowledge (TK) is both personal and contextual, making it challenging to effectively transmit. TKT, in turn, is the process of sharing and disseminating TK among organization members. The objective of this research is to identify the dimensions of analysis regarding the TKT construct through a mixed-methods approach, employing bibliometric and descriptive analyses of TKT studies. The comparative analysis between the most cited and the most recent studies may reveal an evolution of the technical, cognitive, and social dimensions within the field of TKT. While earlier studies emphasize trust and diverse contexts influencing TKT, recent works direct attention toward individual competencies, mutual trust, and social interaction as crucial elements for a more comprehensive understanding of this phenomenon, deepening seminal discussions on the construct.
