Abstract

A bibliometric research was carried out to verify the participation of articles sponsored by CNPq and CAPES in three fields of study: Sustainable development objectives (SDG), public sector innovation  (PSI) and Sustainability Transitions to (ST). These three literatures, due to their relevance, have been stimulated by STI policies adopted in several countries. It was identified that the shares of articles sponsored by CNPq and CAPES in these literatures are: 1.29% in SDG; 1.12% in ST; and 0.84% in PSI. These shares are below average: overall, articles sponsored by the two agencies represent 1.41% of total Scopus articles. Considering that a debate is underway in Brazil about changes in STI policies, the research contributes to the process, addressing the internationally adopted policies to boost the studies of these themes.
