Abstract

 The objective of the present study was to understand the relationship between the strategy formulation and the company's innovation initiatives, the environment analyzed was the company BDL Distribuição e Logística, reference in the distribution sector in all marketing channels, market leading products in the segments of food, hygiene and cleaning. Theoretically the study is supported by the bibliography that deals with organizational strategy, innovation, logistics and distribution companies. As a research methodology the qualitative, case study in the investigated company and the discourse analysis technique were adopted, aiming to analyze and interpret the collected data. This collection was carried out using semi-structured interviews with the main managers of the company. As the innovation issues are the relationship between the company and the Strategic Planning - PE, the opportunities, the threats and the business differentials, as well as the importance given by the company to the organizational innovation, present an alignment and a potential relationship between them.
