Abstract

This article describes the development of an ontology with the purpose of facilitating the understanding of technical aspects of a remote laboratory used to support the teaching of electrical and electronic circuits, VISIR. The methodology was based on the Guide 101, generally used for the development of ontologies. Specifically, it was developed, initially, using the ontoKEM tool, based on knowledge acquired in technical manuals and scientific articles about the remote laboratory VISIR. The use of ontologies to explain knowledge related to this is an interesting alternative for the transmission ofapplied knowledge to this domain.
