Abstract

This study presented a review of the integrative type, aiming to show the scenario in the field of research from the relationship between innovation in services and higher education. It was proposed as a research question what elements are perceived as innovation in the services provided by Higher Education Institutions. Based on research in the Scopus database, a bibliographic portfolio of 1,615 documents was created, resulting from a search that associated the descriptors "innovation in services" AND "higher education". These results were filtered and at the end of the process, eight documents were analyzed and presented. As a conclusion, pedagogical issues related to the depth of disciplinary training were raised, as well as reflecting broader debates about the role of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in society and the economy in general.
