THE CHALLENGES OF NETWORK EDUCATION IN THE CONTEXT OF THE INDUSTRY 4.0

Abstract

The article aims to analyze the relationship between the concepts of Network Education and Industry 4.0, in order to identify the emergent trends of industrial learning, in addition to discussing the role of the university in the production of knowledge and of the interdisciplinary curriculum for the formation of advanced digital competences. For this, an integrative review of the literature was carried out on the scientific basis of the Capes, SciElo and Scopus Journal Portal between the years 2011 and 2018. The results point to three main pedagogical and technological trends, namely: (1) Internet of Things (IoT), (2) Remote Robotics Labs or experimental and learning spaces; (3) Experimental and innovation laboratories, known as FAB-LAB. The closure demonstrates that the article is part of an initial investigation into the research and development potential of the concept of Network Education in the context of Industry 4.0.
