Abstract

This article examines the role of Media Architecture (MA) as a tool in contemporary exhibition design, emphasizing its capacity to connect physical and digital spaces to enhance narrative communication and knowledge dissemination in museums. Grounded in a qualitative and phenomenological approach, the study employs corpography to investigate experiences in four Brazilian museums: Museu do Amanhã, Musehum, Museu do Amanhã, and MIS Experience. The findings reveal that MA extends informational reach, fosters interactivity, engagement, and personalization of museum experiences by integrating digital and physical resources. The research demonstrates that, by acting as Knowledge Media, MA transforms the visitor into an active agent and contributes to the collective construction of knowledge. It concludes that Media Architecture, by creating hybrid, interactive, and sensory environments, establishes itself as a central element for participatory museums connected to the networked society, fostering plurality and innovation in cultural mediation.
