Abstract

All expansion related to the influence of the use of systematic reviews also reached the area of Engineering and Knowledge Management. However, as it is an interdisciplinary area, different from the health area, it has many particularities in its procedures used in the literature review process, which greatly differentiate them from the procedures used in systematic reviews in the health area. In this context, this article adopts a theoretical-conceptual methodological approach based on a systematic review of the literature, which seeks to present, in a summarized way, the different types of mapped literature reviews and will show, and how a review in Knowledge Engineering and Management is characterized, according to its characteristics and limitations.
