Abstract

In order to evaluate an organization's innovation performance, to evaluate its final result is not
enough, because a good performance today does not guarantee the sustainability of the results in the
long term. It is important to evaluate the influence of different organizational factors related to
innovation management in the innovation performance. These factors may be associated with
corporate characteristics such as strategy, culture and leadership, as well as the process by which
innovations have been developed and exploited commercially. Within this context, this article aims
to verify the influence of the various factors of innovation management, in the innovation
performance. A survey was done with innovation managers, from innovative organizations in the
Brazilian industrial segment, in order to verify the relationship between management and innovation
performance. The research is in progress and this paper presents its preliminary results, considering
the pre-test that was performed with twenty eight respondents. Cronbach's alpha coefficient was used
to validate the questionnaire. As a result, the necessary adjustments were made for the final
validation of the questionnaire.
