Applying the ABC Methodology to Engage the Brazilian Telecommunications Sector in Sustainable Practices

The growing demand for scalable and sustainable organizational learning exposes the limitations of traditional training models, which often fail to produce collective knowledge or long-term competencies. This challenge is particularly relevant in telecommunications, where sustainability depends on both technical expertise and cultural engagement. This study presents initial results of the ABC Methodology – Coproduction-Based Learning – applied in the ANATEL-S Program, a national initiative to sensitize and engage professionals in sustainable telecommunications. The methodology is structured into three phases—Planning and Design, Development, and Training Delivery—supported by six integrated components: Educational Commons, Emerging Heterogeneous and Temporary Teams (EHTTs), Neo-learning (competence-based learning), UX-Oriented Digital Design, Digital Education, and Digital Communication. Following its pilot in the CEURS Program with municipal agents, the method was adapted to telecommunications. In ANATEL-S, it combined digital education for individual sensitization with team-based training for collective acculturation, using resources such as the Sustainable Telecommunications Guide, the Online Educational Questionnaire, the Learning Path Plan, and a Moodle-based Virtual Learning Environment managed by Anatel and UFSC. Preliminary results from the Individual Course show nearly 80% completion, 97% positive evaluation, and over 90% practical relevance. These outcomes validate the ABC Method as an adaptable framework to scale learning, foster interdisciplinary dialogue, and promote sustainable transformation.
