Abstract

Systemic phenomena called wicked problems (WP) have gained ground in the global debate in recent decades and have become objects of study by researchers from different areas of knowledge. The aim of this study was to verify how WP are approached in the Knowledge Management (KM) and Intellectual Capital (CI) literature. For this purpose, a systematic search in the Scopus database was performed, using the combination “WP and (CG or CI).” Only seven articles were obtained after the filters. The integrative analysis of this set allowed considering that: (1) the theme arouses little interest from researchers in the areas; (2) but it is configured as a promising field of study; (3) some theories and practices in the areas are adequate to address WP; (4) but it is necessary that researchers make progress in adopting a systemic, critical, inter and transdisciplinary view.
