Abstract

As studies in innovation ecosystems advance, new helices have been identified in the theories for the same beyond the Triple Helix model. Thus, the Quadruple Helix is linked to the importance of a “media and culture-based audience” to be more successful in achieving the goals of an ecosystem. The Quintuple Helix, on the other hand, brought a reflection on sustainability. Thus, this study seeks to investigate the reserach trends in the incorporation of Quadruple and Quintuple Helix. An integrative systematic review based on 38 documents from the Scopus database was conducted. Of this total, 25 brings an approach based on the quadruple helix, 7 brings an approach based on the quintuple helix and 5 brings both approaches.
