ANALYSIS OF THE FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF SANTA CATARINA FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF THE RANKING OF ENTREPRENEURIAL UNIVERSITIES

The translation of knowledge generated in universities into society has been an important factor in socio-economic development, generating the emergence of entrepreneurial universities. Thus, this work aims to analyze the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC) through the methodology of the National Ranking of Entrepreneurial Universities, elaborated by Brasil Júnior, an entity that represents junior companies in Brazil. UFSC appears in sixth place overall, out of 123 ranked institutions, and is among the top 10 in 3 of the 6 dimensions analyzed by the Ranking which are: Internationalization, Financial Capital and Extension. It was observed that the University has some gaps in the dimensions that promote academic protagonism, but presents initiatives that tend to improve its entrepreneurial ability.
