Abstract

Assuming that one of the pillars for the development of a city is Knowledge Management, the use of the human capital that exists in it makes it possible to create, organize and maintain innovation ecosystems that result in a more sustainable, participative and technological city. Thus, the study aims to verify the Knowledge Management practices applied in the construction of smart cities. To this end, the research methodology consists of an integrative review using productions retrieved from the Scopus database. As conclusions, the study points out that Knowledge Management is still a concept with little relation to the development of Smart Cities, although some characteristics were identified that point to its relevance in social and urban development.
