Abstract

This article aims to analyze how mission-oriented innovation policies have been used in the space sector, based on research already carried out. The analysis process was structured based on the systematic review methodology that covered 9 publications distributed between 2018 and 2021. The rationale for intervention by public agents in the economy is presented, as well as the types of failures that can be corrected in the market, the different modalities of mission-oriented innovation policies. The American (NASA) and European (ESA) space agencies constitute the case studies, especially in the low-orbit market. Based on this analysis, the different innovation policies used by these agencies are identified.

Lucas Novelino Abdala, Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica - ITA

Possui graduação em Engenharia Mecanica pela Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (2007), mestrado em Engenharia Mecânica pela Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (2013) e doutorado em Engenharia e Gestão do Conhecimento pela Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (2017). Atualmente é professor adjunto a do Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica. Tem experiência na área de Inovação, Empreendedorismo, Desenvolvimento de Produtos e Administração, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: inovação sistêmica, cidades inteligente, empreendedorismo, habitats de inovação, inovação e triz.
