Abstract

This article presents a descriptive-qualitative and comparative study on buying and selling experiences carried out on two popular digital platforms that act as marketplaces and as dynamic media of a system that mediates buying and selling transactions. The interaction with these platforms in the context of the commercialization of collectible products of the "cultural industry" of historical-cultural and aesthetic-symbolic value, presented as the basic characteristic of the OLX system "agility", and "security" as the greatest attribute of the Mercado Livre system, which is most sought after by the "Antiques" category and by its multiple subcategories of objects or collectible products. and that, as a platform for buying and selling predominantly utilitarian function products.
