Abstract

The contemporary society experiences an excess of information and an overstimulation, in a scenario of increasing presence of technologies. The main objective of this study is to analyze the importance of intentional emptiness in multimedia production in a context of information overload. Qualitative, exploratory and interpretative research was carried out, using the narrative review method as data collection procedure. The research identified a limited number of scientific publications available on the subject, and revealed the importance of intentional emptiness for a more conscious and effective approach in the creation of multimedia content. The study presents contributions both for the community of researchers who want to develop publications on the subject, and for the professional community of multimedia producers, advertisers in the media, and society at large.
