AbstractThe objective of this research was to identify the skills to innovate in the industry of the pupunha of Vale do Ribeira. Schneider's (1934), Kline and Rosenberg (1986) and Dosi (1988) theories of innovation supported the study in the conceptualization of innovation and its importance, while the studies of Nelson and Winter (1982), Barney (1999) Hammel and Prahad (1995) and Penrose (1959) contributed to the repertoire of skills to innovate. The methodology and classification was adapted from the model of François (1999) and Munier (1999). The results of the research pointed out that the competences to innovate are present in the industry and that can be improved for the development of innovations and increase of the competitiveness.Keyswords : Innovation, Skills to innovate, agroindustry, pupunha
Resumo
O objetivo dessa pesquisa foi identificar as competências para inovar nas industrias da pupunha do Vale do Ribeira. As teorias da Inovação de Schumpeter (1934),Kline e Rosenberg ( 1986) e Dosi (1988) apoiaram o estudo na conceituação da inovação e sua importância, enquanto os estudos de Nelson e Winter (1982), Barney ( 1999) Hammel e Prahad ( 1995) e Penrose ( 1959) contribuíram no repertório das competências para inovar. A metodologia e classificação foi adaptada do modelo de François ( 1999) e Munier (1999) . Os resultados da pesquisa apontaram que as competências para inovar estão presentes nas agroindústrias e que podem ser aprimoradas para desenvolvimento de inovações e aumento da competitividade.
