Abstract

The objective of this article was to identify the relationship between elements of the learning and innovation culture in a public company, based on the need to consider organizational learning as the fundamental premise for the innovation processes to take place. The study was conducted on a sample of 180 workers of both sexes and of different hierarchical levels of the company, based on the application of an inventory composed of two questionnaires. One questionnaire was designed and validated in the context of the research. The results indicated that the element of the learning culture most developed in the company was the external orientation, and the aspect of the culture of innovation linked to this process was the organizational behavior, which was the one that obtained statistically significant correlations with the rest of factors. However, human aspects such as creativity and organizational learning represented the main flaws of the company. In this sense, the study allowed to determine the elements of innovation that the company needs to consider in improving its management, as well as those that present the main weaknesses of it.
