ECOSYSTEMS OF INNOVATION: AN EXPLORATORY ANALYSIS OF LITERATURE

Abstract
In the current scenario of strong global competitiveness, activities aimed at consolidating innovation ecosystems are considered as priorities by governments, entrepreneurs and universities (Triple Propeller), which have sought to improve science, technology and innovation strategies in the long term. Thus, the objective of this study is to perform an exploratory analysis of the literature on the topic of Innovation Ecosystems, with the purpose of understanding the concepts related to the theme, analyzing the publications made about the subject, as well as presenting the structuring elements studied. The methodological approach of this research is exploratory and descriptive, in which the distribution of publications over the years was extracted, the keywords used by the studies, the main countries in which the articles were produced, the temporal evolution of the researches on the subject in each country and the elements that make up the structure of innovation ecosystems. This study is part of the full article modality. The results of the research demonstrate that the concern to understand the structure of the innovative environment can be considered universal. On the other hand, there are difficulties in stating uniformly structuring elements of an innovation ecosystem. Despite the lack of uniformity, it was found that the various structuring elements basically work on four axes: (1) infrastructure, (2) human capital, (3) relational structure and (4) financial capital. It is also important to note that the Triple Propeller model is not confused with the innovation ecosystem, but it can be considered a process for its formation and sometimes it can form an element of this same ecosystem.
