INFRASTRUCTURE, SERVICES, BUSINESS ADVICE AND QUALIFICATION OFFERED BY SANTA CATARINA INCUBATORS
Abstract
Business incubators are important, combining academic and business skills, for sustainable development, as well as for innovation and entrepreneurship of small and medium-sized businesses where they are located. In this sense, this article presents partial data from an exploratory research that had the objective of carrying out a survey on the incubators of Santa Catarina, seeking to understand what they offer incubated companies in terms of infrastructure, services, business advisory and qualification. Data from five incubators are presented, which were obtained from the websites of the selected companies, edicts, publicity materials and surveys carried out on incubators in Santa Catarina. The study is justified by the importance of incubators to stimulate the development of companies that, alone, would not have access to the necessary resources for development. The results indicate that there is dissemination and offer of infrastructure and advisory services in business management, essential to the development of incubated companies, but that other topics such as qualification still receive little emphasis from incubators.
