Abstract

In the context of a veterinary clinic linked to a federal university, there are around 25.000 clinical records of large animals, collected along over 40 years, stored in analogical media (paper) hard to access and share. Such historical information is used in academic research and veterinary analysis. This research looks for use knowledge management tools and techniques, with ICT support, to allow the clinical information of the animals to be digitalized and more easily socialized between researchers and veterinarians for diagnosis of diseases and to identify the incidence of a particular disease in animals. Therefore, this work is guided by a knowledge management approach called KM cycle.
