The quality of any organization knowledge assets has become a crucial factor for their viability and survival. Tourism is no exception, especially in the case of sector representation entities. It sought to analyze the information flow and the process of knowledge creation in Curitiba, Region and Coast Convention & Visitors Bureau - CCVB, given their role in promoting the destination and their actions as representative of the trade organization. Models, methods and definitions in information flows and knowledge were raised to theoretical exploration theme which subsequently gave subsidy to assess the reality of CCVB through semi-structured interviews, doing between November 2015 and January 2016, with the executive board and two strategic departments. The data were evaluated in the light of an ideal model of business platform in tourism, which has been identified as a result of the existence of barriers in communication with the external environment with regard to information flow in CCVB. It was possible to identify the gaps and propose actions, activities and attitudes that can cooperate to improve and improve the information flow and organizational knowledge creation, and the improvements are focused on the axis of communication between CCVB and maintainers. The findings corroborate the reference literature and show the strategic position that a review of information flow has to fulfill its organizational goals.
