Abstract

Knowledge Engineering emerges as an area that supports Digital Transformation through the framework of methods and techniques that are under its domain. Ontologies are a model of Knowledge Engineering that allows the formalization of processes, the disambiguation of vocabulary and the automation of activities. The methodology adopted was a systematic review to understand the state of the art of the works published in the last five years on the subject. It was possible to conclude that the correct knowledge management within an organization adds strategic and decisive values so that it stands out in a competitive market, because from the construction of intelligent knowledge systems, there is optimization and flexibility for a quick adaptation that conveniently meets the needs imposed by the market.
