Resumen

Emerging artificial intelligence (AI) technologies are poised to permeate near-ly all organizational decisions, training, projects, and activities. AI tools, drawing from various approaches to simulate human intelligence, provide answers almost instantaneously, although not always entirely complete or ac-curate. This article aims to explore opportunities arising when AI is integrated with knowledge management (KM) structures, objectives, and practices, sup-porting fundamental KM dimensions: creation, storage and retrieval, sharing, and application. This discussion is based on a Brazilian case study: the Blue Santos Program, which aims to implement a blue economy ecosystem in Baixada Santista, a region that encompasses several municipalities on the São Paulo Coast. Coordinating institutional movements of this magnitude necessi-tates integrating social and organizational dynamics with data, KM and sus-tainability strategies, fostering sustainable regional changes of global impact synergistically and innovatively. AI application to generate data structure for research and project work, as well as for strategic program planning, required combining KM strategies such as seminars, training sessions, benchmarking, and the Blue Santos Portal development. Achievements include forming an organized institutional network focused on the blue economy, training ses-sions, and initiatives designed with public/private partnerships. Beyond AI's use in project planning and structuring phases, the challenge lies in applying it to monitor results and generate solutions for potential technological, organ-izational, and financial barriers in a blue economy project of this scale. This paper outlines future trajectories for KM systems interconnected with AI tools and human competence development.
