From Knowledge to Process: An Integrated Approach to Building Institutional Processes

Resumen

Knowledge Management offers a set of practices and processes for strategically transforming organizational knowledge into a valuable asset. The KM cycles allow organizations to visualize their ability to manage their tacit as sets and transform them into explicit ones, through the stages of capturing, storing, sharing and disseminating the knowledge generated. Given this scenario, the research aims to integrate the stages used by the Project Management area of a Higher Education Institution in the construction of its institutional processes with the processes of the Integrated Knowledge Management Cycle, to systematize and disseminate organizational knowledge. To this end, a qualitative, exploratory and descriptive study was carried out. The results show that, even without a properly structured KM process, the area researched a higher education institution the stages of the KM cycle in the execution and design of its institutional processes and higher education institution capturing and sharing tacit knowledge into explicit knowledge.
