Resumo

Design thinking is a human-centred approach to innovation that puts humans in the core of the design process. It relies on a deep understanding of human need, generating creative solutions and refining those solutions  by continuous feedback. Although the importance of hearing the humans, the use of an AI assistant in the Design thinking  process is increasing. Therefore, this article discusses the impacts of new technologies on the application of the Design Thinking process. The research is qualitative and exploratory in nature, initially proposes a theoretical survey with the aim of describing the history of Design Thinking, identifying its main drivers and the tools and strategies proposed for the application of the method. Subsequently, it identifies how offices that are reference in the Design Thinking process, incorporate AI into their methodologies. A discussion is proposed based on the comparison between the traditional stages and tools of Design Thinking and approaches that use AI. As a result, we present guidelines for the use of AI in the different stages of the Design Thinking process, ensuring the human being at the center of the process as a basic premise for innovation.
