Abstract

Knowledge management in organizations results from the need to observe ethics and transparency determined by new public management models to achieve strategic goals and increase effectiveness and relevance, guided by collaborative work in the transfer of knowledge, a catalyst for innovation. The purpose of the research is to identify if there are signs of being a Virtual Community of Practice (VCoP) “Team SELOGS” of the Brazilian Federal Police that facilitates innovation in the public sector. The research is exploratory and descriptive, using the case study strategy, in addition to bibliographical and documentary research and interviews with the managers responsible for the VCoP. As a result, the data shows that the “SELOGs Team” has all the characteristics of the VCoP elements, making it possible to identify signs of managerial innovation.
