Abstract

The objective of this research was to map the characteristics of scientific production on the knowledge flow construct, through the analysis of bibliometric and sociometric indicators, in order to discover the state of the art and contribute with suggestions for future research. Based on 1,988 articles and reviews extracted from the Scopus database, analyzes were performed. The results indicate that (i) research on the flow of knowledge, since 2013, has been stabilizing, with a constant number of studies and publications in recent years; (ii) the main authors are divided between the Asian, European and American continents, not having a hegemony; (iii) the prominent approaches are the knowledge flow relationship within knowledge management processes, and within the innovation ecosystem. Research limitations were also highlighted.
