THE IMPLEMENTATION OF DATA MINING TECHNIQUES IN THE AREA OF EXTERNAL CONTROL OF PUBLIC ACCOUNTS

Abstract: this article presents research carried out, based on a systematic literature review, carried out in the Scopus database, based on data mining techniques, with the objective of verifying the predictions about the compliance of Santa Catarina municipalities, in what concerns respect for the goals determined by the legislation in force. The results allowed us to conclude that it is feasible to predict whether a municipality will extrapolate the goals imposed by legislation, information that would allow the State Court of Auditors, as an external control body of public accounts, to act proactively, making inspection activities more effective.
