Abstract

The concern that themes related to sustainable development have occupied in
academic, political and social circles has led to the implementation of new practices in
organizations, enabling a new culture of socio-environmental responsibility in public and private
institutions. In this sense, this research's main objective is to propose the use of two thematic axes
of the Public Environmental Agenda (A3P Program) in state public schools. These being:
“Adequate management of generated waste” and “Staff Awareness and Training”, the
|implementation of these axes aims to develop sustainable practices in the work environment, with
engagement from those involved. Therefore, the A3P Program appears as a tool for developing
“ecologically correct” attitudes to be used in the organization, adapting to its reality.
