Abstract

The integration of knowledge management (KM) with the Master Plan facilitates a more inclusive and efficient urban planning process. In the context of the Master Plan, this integration is manifested in the collection of data from public hearings and community consultations, in the development of new housing strategies and policies, and in the systematic storage of information for easy access and future analysis. KM also plays a role in the broad dissemination and practical application of urban guidelines. This article reviews the application of KM by analyzing how the thematic classifications of the Florianópolis Master Plan (2023) relate to the topics in the Ministry of Cities' guide (2005), highlighting the knowledge management perspective on these topics.
