Resumo

Growing organizational complexity demands new management approaches that prioritize employee well-being and engagement over results. In this scenario, positive leadership emerges as fundamental to promoting psychological safety, a foundation for healthy, collaborative and innovative work environments. Psychological safety allows employees to take interpersonal risks without fear of negative consequences, which is fundamental for innovation, engagement and well-being. Positive leaders act as facilitators of development, cultivating relationships of empathy, recognition, transparency and support, creating a safe space for employees' genuine expression. This research aims to analyze the influence of positive leadership and propose strategies to promote psychological safety in organizations. The research, through a literature review and field research, investigated the influence of positive leadership on psychological safety for healthy organizations. A consistent positive correlation was identified between positive leadership practices and high levels of psychological safety. Leaders who show empathy, promote trust, encourage the expression of ideas, manage mistakes constructively and focus on developing strengths, create environments where employees feel safe to contribute, experiment and learn. As a result, strategies are proposed that focus on developing positive leaders and creating organizational cultures that value psychological safety.
