Abstract

Endogenous development, according to Boisier (2005), must articulate and integrate: economy, politics, science and technology and culture. Under this approach we try to answer: What are the inequalities of Colombian departmental development from the perspective of science, technology and innovation? to identify the weaknesses and strengths of the departments in C + T + I in order to implement policies that reinforce territorial development through theses factors. To do this, methodological processes can be performed related to multivariate analysis, which allows a departmental C + T + I index, taking 10 dimensions, more than 40 variables and more than 140 indicators, finding that Bogotá, Antioquia and Valle del Cauca, are the first three most developed regions of Colombia and departments such as Arauca, Guainía, Vichada and Vaupés are the most excluded, marginal and backward in the country.
