Abstract

The search for solutions that induce the effective involvement of educators in the innovation process of the school environment, with the adoption of design thinking as an innovative methodology, is the object of this research. It is, therefore, a case study, developed in a qualitative approach, of a descriptive character and basic nature. It aims to understand the effectiveness of design thinking as an inductive methodology of the innovation process in the school environment of the Integral Education Center Emílio Gazaniga Júnior, Itajaí-SC. The results showed that the experience with design thinking contributed effectively to the adoption of innovative teaching and management practices, reflected in the optimization of the school environment.
