Abstract

This article aims to identify influences of the media agenda in the practices of content curation of the Cities Network Cómo Vamos, in five Colombian cities, under the point of view of the curators. The network Cómo Vamos encourages citizen participation and promotion of quality of life, through Content Curation in the digital environment. The content curation consists of gathering external data, recontextualizing and sharing information in social media and the press, as input for citizens and government decision-making. The qualitative research consists of a single integrated case study, around the Digital Content Curation area of five units of the city network. Semi-structured interviews were conducted by videoconference with five communication coordinators of the organization. The network influences and is influenced by the media agenda by institutional link; by professional culture of the journalists of the program; by the support in the actuality factor; support for existing content to manage information and generate knowledge, and finally, for convergent interests between the media agenda and the public agenda.
