Abstract

Violence against women is a social problem motivated by machismo and gender inequality that often leads to the loss of human lives and also has a strong impact on the economy. One of the goals of the UN Sustainable Development Goal is to "eliminate all forms of violence against all women and girls in the public and private spheres". This paper reports on the application of a Knowledge Management approach to produce knowledge from the interconnection between information on the theme of violence against women and, then, to use such information and knowledge as a basis for the development of a digital solution. Thus, as a main result a web application is presented, aiming to be a tool to combat and mitigate violence against women.
