Abstract

The edge of knowledge that is lived, is based on the infinity of information that is received in the day to day, be it in the public management as in the private sector. Managing knowledge that involves everyone in the same goal requires methods and actions that foster this practice. However, managing that information and the knowledge that resides in people is a challenge for public or private organizations. In this context, the article aims to analyze whether published studies on public management seek improvements in public services through knowledge management practices and innovative actions. Through a systematic research, with an exploratory, descriptive and qualitative study, it was concluded that public management seeks innovative practices, however, a little late in the face of private companies and the need that society demands. Knowledge management presents sources of help and ways to innovate the public management that needs to seek improvements constantly.
