Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has become the biggest health crisis since the Spanish flu that occurred in the beginning of the 20th century. In this scenario, the hospital supply chain was one of the most impacted during the peaks of contagion. Faced with this situation, the research sought to identify the main challenges experienced and actions taken by the leadership linked to the supply chain of a Brazilian public hospital during the first 18 months of the Covid-19 pandemic. For this, a case study was carried out in which the stories of the chefs from the supply chain of a public hospital during this period were analyzed. The results will suggest that challenges have been experienced and strategic decisions have been made and, even, these will be effective in maintaining the hospital as the materials it needs, mainly in times of shortage of supply.
