Abstract

The aim of this study was to survey open innovation practices in the literature and verify their adoption by a group of organizations participating in an open innovation laboratory in southern Brazil. The research was carried out through an integrative review and a qualitative and descriptive approach. In the literature, 36 open innovation practices were identified, most of which are adopted by the researched. The most used by startups are: networking, partnerships and strategic alliance/mergers and acquisitions. By corporates they are vertical and horizontal collaboration in technology, networking and partnerships. It is observed that networking practices and partnerships are widely used by both respondents. Since the literature does not provide a broad understanding of open innovation practices, this study makes both a theoretical and an empirical contribution.
