Abstract

This work is a state of knowledge survey type, with a bibliographic character, in which the objective is to analyze the discussions present in the Capes’ Theses and Dissertation Catalog, focusing the web content accessibility for the visual impaired people, as well as to identify the use
of Assistive Technologies (ATs) to promote inclusion. The results demonstrate that even with the
determinations of the Web Accessibility Guidelines established by the W3C and the technological
advances and the inclusion laws present in the Brazilian Federal Constitution the accessibility
barriers still persist.
