Abstract

Emotional intelligence - EI is the ability a person develops to deal rationally or logically with their feelings and emotional states, it is considered an essential factor in organizational performance. The research presents an objective: to identify the primary skills and competencies related to emotional intelligence in the organizational context. To this end, a literature review was carried out: a systematic bibliographic review of the qualitative type. The primary skills and competencies related to emotional intelligence in the organizational context were verified so that EI can contribute to better professional performance. The five competencies of EI are fundamental for personal well-being and help develop capabilities in professional practice.
