APPLICABILITY OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN BRAZILIAN MILITARY POLICE FORCES: ADVANTAGES, DISADVANTAGES, AND/OR LIMITATIONS.

In recent years, Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been integrated into Public Security, with Brazilian Military Police forces exploring its application to improve efficiency in maintaining order and protecting rights. This qualitative study analyzed the use of AI in police operations, highlighting its advantages, challenges, and limitations. Based on a review of recent articles, the results showed that AI, through predictive analysis and technologies like big data and IoT, enhances surveillance and monitoring. However, challenges remain, such as balancing technological innovation with ethical and legal principles to ensure a safer and more just society. It is concluded that AI integration has transformative potential, provided it is implemented responsibly.
