Abstract

Knowledge Management is a recent multidisciplinary field of study, whose objective is to contribute to the increase of organizational performance. Understanding their adoption by companies is necessary, especially in small and medium enterprises (SMEs), which represent the vast majority in our country. This research identify in the literature knowledge management practices that support business competitiveness in SMEs. The research is configured as bibliometric, descriptive and bibliographic, with a qualitative approach. Data collection was performed from a search in databases. The results show the knowledge management practices most used in SMEs, as well as evidence that there is a shortage of works that deal exclusively with knowledge management practices in SMEs, thus understanding that there is a wide field of studies.
