Abstract

The purpose of this study is to understand the reasons and the results from the process of Digital Transformation that companies perform. We used the method of literature review of empirical studies published in periodicals with a high quality reputation. The analyzed studies highlighted the concern of the companies in relation to the improvement of the customer experience; value creation; revenue generation; development of skills and adaptability for business and personal development. It was also revealed how much the interaction dynamics between company, school or government with clients, students or society is important for decision making, as well as the role of leader in the process of Digital Transformation. Future work can be done through the use of other research methods and can broaden the results obtained with this research, including more empirical studies available in the literature.
