Abstract

The use of knowledge management (KM) and information technology (IT) as a strategy to improve competitivity can contribute to the creation, transfer and use of knowledge in organizations. In this context, this paper aims to understand the scientific studies panorama on KM and IT on the Scopus database. The methodology adopted was a descriptive, bibliographic and qualitative approach. The systematic search was carried out in the Scopus database, from 2010 to 2018. IT was considered as an enabler of the KM, with a direct influence on knowledge management, helping organizations to survive in highly competitive environments. It is necessary to choose the correct strategy to use the two areas together, and there is no generic solution for organizations.
