Abstract

This paper aims to analyze the knowledge management process of the Academic Registration sector, of a Higher Education Institution. This is a unique case study, with data collected through semi-structured interviews with 12 employees who work in that sector, in addition to analyzing documents and applying questionnaires and observations. The results obtained indicate that the Institution is concerned with carrying out knowledge management effectively. It is emphasized that the registration of activities is indispensable in order to understand the work processes and the internal functioning of the organization. Moreover, knowledge needs to be frequently shared with other employees in the sector.
